We envision a world where African American communities have equitable access to opportunities, resources, creative expression, and platforms that inspire growth, pride, and generational impact. Through collaboration, cultural celebration, and community-centered programming, we aim to build stronger, healthier, and more empowered communities.
Our mission is to develop, support, and promote community outreach programs, cultural arts, entertainment, and educational initiatives that expand access, elevate awareness, and create meaningful opportunities in communities where African Americans are too often overlooked. We are committed to advancing equity, representation, and inclusion by investing in programs that uplift people, stories, and lived experiences.

We are a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting African American communities through purposeful outreach, cultural expression, and education. Grounded in the belief that representation matters, and opportunity should be accessible, we center community voices and lived experiences in everything we do.

WHAT WE DO
We partner with organizations, institutions, artists, and community leaders to design and deliver impactful programs that address real community needs. Our work spans healthcare access, education, youth development, and cultural initiatives bringing people together through events, programs, and experiences that inform, engage, and empower.

1. Community Outreach & Empowerment
We design and implement community-centered outreach programs that address real needs, including health education, resource access, and social support. Our initiatives create safe, informed, and connected spaces that uplift individuals, families, and communities.
2. Cultural Arts & Entertainment
We celebrate and amplify African American culture through festivals, performances, creative collaborations, and culturally relevant entertainment experiences. These initiatives honor heritage, elevate diverse voices, and strengthen community connection.
3. Education & Awareness
We deliver workshops, youth programs, and educational initiatives that build knowledge, leadership skills, and pathways to opportunity. Our goal is to inspire learning, encourage critical thinking, and prepare the next generation for success.
4. Financial & Event Support
We provide programmatic and financial support to community-driven events, grassroots efforts, and initiatives that align with our mission. Through funding, resources, and strategic guidance, we help expand access and bring impactful projects to life.

Wellness Events for Women & Girls
​
We develop and host wellness events for women and girls that create sacred spaces for healing, reflection, and sisterhood. Attendees engage in powerful discussions led by expert speakers on topics such as mental health, trauma, and mindfulness, while gaining access to shared and support. Through the promotion and celebration of self-care featuring beauty demonstrations and live makeovers. We uplift and empower participants, fostering community, connection, and collective well-being.
Man Up for Your Health
In partnership with MLK Community Healthcare, Man Up for Your Health is a Los Angeles–based, barbershop-centered initiative addressing health disparities among Men of Color, with a focus on African American and Latino men. The program provides free diabetes and blood pressure screenings, prostate health education, culturally relevant resources, and care referrals in trusted neighborhood barbershops. Through in-shop services, community health fairs, and facilitated conversations, the initiative promotes prevention, awareness, and empowered decision-making for healthier communitie
Anti-Violence Ventures Program
In partnership with the California Black Women’s Health Project, Wade & Associates Group produces Anti-Violence Ventures (AVV)—a series of community panel discussions engaging Black men and boys in open dialogue around stopping violence in the Black community. AVV creates safe spaces to address root causes, elevate lived experiences, and promote prevention, collaboration, and positive change through collective action.
Mindful Beauty
Mindful Beauty is a community-based initiative addressing mental health disparities among Black women by leveraging the trusted relationship between hair stylists and their clients. Led by the Wade & Associates Group Foundation, the program trains stylists to recognize early signs of depression and emotional distress and connects women to culturally responsive mental health resources, education, and support creating accessible pathways to care and healing.
The Black Beauty & BarberShopHealth Initiative
In Black communities, the chair is more than a place for beauty, it is a space of trust, listening, and healing. The Black Beauty & Barbershop Health Initiative honors that bond by equipping stylists and barbers with the tools, training, and resources to nurture community well-being. Through these trusted relationships, the program opens culturally grounded pathways to health awareness, education, early intervention, and care, meeting people where they are and uplifting communities from the inside out.
Beauty-N-Motion Walk • Run • 4 Life
Beauty-N-Motion Walk • Run • 4 Life is a collaborative health prevention walk/run created for Women of Color. The initiative unites women’s organizations, sororities, beauty industry professionals, and health outreach groups to raise awareness, funding, and collective impact. Through year-round collaboration, partners provide preventive health services, education, and advocacy - expanding access to care, promoting early intervention, and improving health outcomes for women and families.
Black Beauty and Wellness Foundation
The Black Beauty and Wellness Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the mental, physical, and overall well-being of Black Women. Our focus is on empowering women through health, wellness initiatives, and beauty routines. We aim to inspire, enlighten, and educate women to make informed decisions and proactively manage their health.
CULTURAL ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT
Soul Country Music Star Competition & Festival

The Soul Country Music Star (SCMS) Competition is a national talent search and cultural celebration dedicated to uplifting Black country artists and amplifying diverse voices within the country music genre
The journey culminates at the Soul Country Music Festival, which serves as the official SCMS Finale Competition. More than a competition, the festival is a vibrant, family-friendly experience that celebrates music, culture, and community—bringing forward voices, stories, and sounds that foster cultural pride, unity, and joy while creating unforgettable entertainment for audiences of all ages.
The Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo Foundation
(We have partnered with the BPIR Foundation to deliver impactful community programs and services at its events, collectively reaching more than 100,000 consumers nationwide. Through this partnership, we host on-site health booths, conversations and interactive events that provide free health screenings, critical education and resources addressing domestic violence prevention, heart disease, hypertension, mental health, prostate health, and vaccinations. By meeting communities where they gather, this collaboration expands access to care, promotes prevention, and supports healthier outcomes for individuals and families.
