COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Beauty-n-Motion Walk Run 4 Life is the first ever Collaborative Health Prevention Walk Run in the U.S. for Women of Color. National, Regional and Local Women Organizations, Sororities, and Health Outreach Groups will work together to raise awareness and funds for each of their programs as well as partner in providing Preventative Health, Education, and Advocacy Initiatives throughout the year as a team. Together we will connect women with the resources in the communities for much needed prevention care and access to care. This is the perfect opportunity to get involved in a truly worthy cause by becoming a Partnering Sponsor of the Beauty-N-Motion; Wellness & Prevention Movement.

Man Up for Your Health
Esteemed MLKCH Doctors teamed up with South LA Barbers to shed light on the crucial issue of men's health through a friendly game of basketball. This annual event organized by Wade & Associates Group, is known as the “Doctors vs. Barbers” basketball game, and is hosted by ManUp!, MLKCH’s men’s health barbershop program.
Although our doctors put up a valiant effort, the barbers emerged victorious with a score of 74 to 33. Despite the defeat, our MLKCH doctors displayed grace and sportsmanship, and everyone enjoyed a fun-filled day that included music, giveaways, food, an informative panel discussions, flu vaccinations and of course health screenings. We extend our gratitude to both the barbers and doctors for their commitment to promoting better men's health through this spirited event!

Anti-Violence Ventures Program
Wade & Associates Group produces panel discussions for Anti-Violence Ventures (AVV) aimed at breaking the cycle of violence in the Black community. These community conversations actively engage Black men and boys, inviting them to join the dialogue on "Stopping All Forms of Violence in our Communities." AVV's objective is to foster open discussions among Black men and boys to address all aspects of violence prevention. By facilitating conversations and learning directly from their experiences, homes, and communities, we aim to identify solutions and instigate positive changes through collaboration and engagement in preventive activities.
Mindful Beauty
Mindful Beauty is an initiative dedicated to tackling mental health disparities, specifically within the community for Black Women. Harnessing the trusted bond between hair stylists and their clients, the Wade & Associates Group spearheads a unique program. This program focuses on training stylists to identify the subtle signs of depression among their clientele. Furthermore, it extends beyond mere identification, offering valuable resources and support to women within the community.

The Black Girl Joy Festival, produced by Wade & Associates Group for the CA Black Women’s Collective and Empowerment Institute, offered a delightful day of festivities for black middle school and high school girls. The event featured complimentary college prep workshops, panel discussions, self-defense classes, yoga and meditation sessions, arts and crafts activities, health screenings, music, dance, delicious food, giveaways, and an abundance of joy and fun for everyone in attendance.

Wade & Associates Group, with their expertise, led the way for the Black Women’s Collective Empowerment Institute’s Women's Conversation Tour titled "Building an Economic Action Plan," embarking on a comprehensive journey across the state of California, commencing in San Diego and reaching through Solano County, Sacramento, and Fresno.
